What Doesn’t Kill You… | Genesis Vol. 3

11.23.25

Nicholas Hect

We finished up our series on the book of Genesis with Joseph’s death. Before their father Jacob died, he gave each son a blessing and let each of them know why they were not the chosen one, only Judah. After Joseph dies, he is buried as an Egyptian which would make him ineligible to continue Abraham’s lineage. As we learned a few weeks ago, it is through Judah’s lineage that our Savior Jesus would come, not Joseph. If you think back, Joseph had a dream that his brothers would be bowing down to him. Perhaps this dream was more for Judah than for himself? Either way, we learned how God uses any and every situation for our good and His glory.
